About
An operator's view of every deal
Matlock Capital was founded in 2020 by Taylor Ethans, whose career spans investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, five years in private equity as Vice President at TriWest Capital Partners, and co-founding Decibel Cannabis Company, where as CFO he took the company public and raised more than $100MM.
Since then he has acquired, built and operated multiple businesses alongside his advisory work. That combination shapes how Matlock approaches every deal: what is it worth, what can go wrong, and which terms protect the capital.
